We are now at the Ozarks conference and last night was the first night of meet the speakers which was a really good evening and the food was great and not too big a meal.  There are UFO researchers here who are the top names in the field and also we got to sit next to the Mufon organizer and his wife who have invited Steve to speak at Sedona in October.  They are both delightful and the wife and I had so much in common that I don’t think we would have enough time to catch up even if we spent a month together.  We are very excited about the Sedona talk and also the chance to spend time back in Sedona which we loved.

The first talk is at 12 noon today and this is a researcher who states that the ET’s are malevolent so he is diametrically opposed to Steve’s position, so that should be an interesting talk.  His name is Jones too.

Steve is due to talk at 9.00 tomorrow which is very early, especially as there is a getting together after the talks finish at 9.00 tonight and it is reported that people can be the worse for wear in the morning, but if they have come all this way for the conference, (the minimum journey we heard about was 6 hours, some were traveling for up to 14 hours)… I can’t imagine that they would then miss a talk.

In his summing up at the end of the evening, Lee the organizer said that he was so excited to have the two Jones men giving their talks especially Steve as he felt that after having read the book, he thinks what Steve has to say is the most exciting new theories around at this time… he also praised Steve’s charisma and his kind spirituality..  Steve was very touched to say the least…

It’s beautiful here as we are still in Eureka Springs and then after this conference  we will move onto a log cabin by Beaver Dam where hopefully we will get some time to really explore the town. The more we see of it the more we think we would love to live here, it really is so quaint, lovely and just brimming with artistic energy.

The best thing about last night was a talk and performance by a Lacota Native American man called John Two-Hawks.  He was so charismatic and his energy was just mesmerizing.  Very quietly and gently spoken, he will be performing throughout the 3 days.  His talk was featured on how we are all connected, every tiny creature and every type of ET and human and said that in all the Native American tribes the ET’s are just part of their history and heritage and they just accept them as a part of their own life.  They call them the ‘Star Nation’ and like so many indigenous cultures all around the world they quote the stories of Isis and Osiris, how the one gave all the knowledge of how to manage the land and the other gave all the knowledge about how to take care of each other and the planet.  It was known that Isis and Osiris came from the stars and that was where this knowledge emanated from.  His music was exquisite, playing on a tiny wooden flute first of all, a very haunting melody and then on a strange larger flute which was in fact two flutes shaped together in a pyramid.  The one on the right had the holes for notes but the one on the left was solid.  He said the one on the left gave a bass note, which in fact as he played, was also playing an undercurrent tune, which constantly changed as he played the actual tune on the right.  So he was playing two songs at the same time…  It was really lovely and quite unlike anything I have ever heard before except I suppose for Overtone Chanting.  We hope we can spend some time with him as he said he wants to get to talk with all the speakers…

Travis Walton is here and again we hope to get chance to speak with him.  As far as abductions go, no-one has ever been taken for as long a time as Travis.  I think it was 5 days in all and his logger friends who were with him when he was taken up into a huge craft, we initially accused of murdering him and although they passed a lie-detector test to prove their innocence and the veracity of the story, they were still suspected of his murder.

He eventually turned up outside a gas station, late at night, naked and unable to remember what had happened to him and for a long time he was very ill. Quite a tragic story and I will be very interested to hear his version first hand.  The film made about the event ‘Fire in the Sky’ is apparently really off the mark with many inaccuracies.  I look forward to hearing the truth.

Steve has just gone over to set up his book table and he has had a wonderful caricature of himself done by one of the stall vendors.  Lee asked the artist if she would like to have a stall here, in return for doing the pictures of each speaker.  Steve is delighted with his, but she has emphasized his shaven head which makes him look like…….An Alien!!  I think all the pictures will be on a table as you walk into the venue.  I might get her to do one of me, but I am a bit scared of what part of my face she will emphasise!!  I don’t need any addition to my double chin.…

Maybe you could ask that she emphasise the good bits like eyes or something, I have no problem having larger than life eyes!!…

Steve has just popped back in and John Two Hawks has given him a CD of his music.  People in this field are just so kind and caring and so willing to share every part of themselves…
